Overview:
Looking for a Lab Technician to join the Analytical R&D team located in Chicago. The lab technician performs a variety of routine and some non-routine laboratory operations with technical direction from a supervisor. The analytical lab technician will support R&D, product development, manufacturing, quality and regulatory teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct wet bench chemistry, chemicals handling, and sample preparation 
  • Perform analytical laboratory testing and data analysis
  • Operate analytical instruments (HPLC, IC, ICP, GC etc.) following SOP 
  • Record test results accurately and concisely using digital tools (instrument software and electronic lab notebook)
  • Assist in analyzing and interpreting experimental data
  • Participate in scientific discussion and critical thinking 
  • Maintain supply inventory and conduct simple equipment calibration and routine maintenance 
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and make recommendations for their improvement
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • B.S./B.A. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related Science/Engineering field 
  • Knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific terminology, and basic metrology instrumentation such as analytical balances 
  • Prior experience working in an analytical lab is a plus
  • Experience maintaining and running analytical instruments is a plus
