Reporting to the Director, Brand Management, we are looking for a seriously talented & energetic Associate Brand Manager to join our team and help shape the future of food.  You will be responsible for day-to-day management of your brands as well as shaping the strategic direction for the business.  Working in close collaboration with our sales, marketing, ops, creative and research teams as well as our customer partners, you will be responsible for managing the long-term success of this brand.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
Brand Building. Includes brand situation analysis, strategy and planning development, marketing mix effectiveness evaluation.
 
Communications Planning: Work with internal and external creative agencies to deliver inspiring, consumer insight led communications across multiple platforms, and manage process through to execution.
 
Analytics: Actively manage business gather, analyze, and present business performance assessments using SPINS, CRISP, IRI/Nielsen, and internal shipment reports.
 
Innovation.  Manage Innovation projects- lead cross functional team and project timeline to achieve innovation and revenue goals.  Assist brand director in development of new concepts, consumer validation and commercialization.
 
Customer Marketing: Work with the sales, brand experience, and shopper teams to plan and execute customer marketing programming for key retailers.
 
Budget and P&L Management: Oversee brand budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual view, and regularly communicate and reconcile spend with Finance.
 
Brand Advocate: Act as a champion for the brand and the voice of our consumer, regularly presenting brand positioning, programming, and performance success stories across internal and external audiences.
 
Inspiring Team Member: Have a passion for the future of food through making better, smarter choices about how food is made.  This journey will not be linear, so you will have to roll with that, helping the team ride the highs, and work through the lows.  We would expect you to write playbooks, not follow them!

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • BS degree plus at least 4 years’ work experience; at least 1 year in consumer-packaged goods preferred
  • Great knowledge of e-commerce as well as brick-and-mortar retail CPG in the USA.  The experience to be able to leverage prior networks to scale growth rapidly is a plus.
  • Analytics- Use of data to understand category, competitive and brand trends.  Turn data analysis into valuable insights to grow the business.
  • Cross-functional Team Leadership- ability to work well across functions and align the team along a common goal and outcome.
  • Manage projects effectively- hit set timelines to commercialize products and the innovation pipeline. Solve problems with a creative and team-based approach.
  • Understanding of the marketing mix, and which levers to pull at what stage of growth. 
  • A comfort level with challenging the status quo, bringing creativity to solving everyday problems
  • Ability to set & manage a budget; comprehension of CPG / brand level P&Ls.
  • This position is remote, but some travel may be required (0-15%)
  • MBA or equivalent CPG experience is strongly preferred.
