What is this job about:

Reporting to our VP of Marketing we are looking for a comms leader who understands both how to craft potent stories and engage with influential talent and press to bring those stories to life. You have a deep passion and expertise for the climate and helping save us all from pending doom. And you are equally passionate about building cult lifestyle brands that people come to worship. I guess you could say you might have to channel your cult leader persona from time to time in this role.

Responsibilities

Dream in stories, and bring those stories to life.

Lead the development of our PR strategy, messaging architecture and GTM planning in earned media.

Lead and manage the day to day of external agency partners and the execution of key earned initiatives.

Build and manage an ambassador network of influencers and talent.

Plan and execute PR and key industry events.

Act as a collaborative specialist across our marketing organization to support other marketing initiatives.

Manage the scope, budget and resourcing of key comms related projects.

Work with experts to understand complicated topics such as climate, biodiversity, health and food and develop a clear company POV around these topics.

Qualifications

Deep understanding of how to work with and manage PR agencies and interacting with press directly.

Experience managing and building both brand and public personalities.

You are obsessed with following the musings of mass and obscure individuals and brands who are defining culture at large.

You love cheese (even if you can’t eat it).

You can take complicated topics and break them down into simple language that is digestible and relatable

Preferred: You have worked at a deep tech company and can quickly grasp technological concepts and read scientific publications.
