As a Communications Specialist, you’ll manage all internal and external communication of Iron Ox, and represent the company to the outside world. This will include drafting media statements, briefing documents and press releases, answering media inquiries, compiling reports and planning events.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Research and write press releases and content for Iron Ox’s website, blogs and newsletters
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of Iron Ox’s products, strategies and keep up-to-date with relevant developments
  • Arrange, and coordinate press meetings and plan events
  • Adhere to Iron Ox’s style guide, ensuring that we produce high-quality and error-free copy
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas in line with Iron Ox’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
  • Support and evaluate results of communications campaigns with the team
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players
  • What You’ll Bring

  • We are looking for someone with exceptional public speaking and writing skills. A strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, you must be innovative, organized and self motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external role-players.
  • Two years experience in communications strategy development
  • Bachelor degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skillsWorks well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate in MS Office, Google docs/sheets, Confluence/Jira, Slack
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms
  • Proven social media and networking expertise
  • Strategic and creative mindset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Nice-to-Haves
