Reporting to the Chief Growth and Sustainability Officer, we are looking for a seriously talented & energetic Director of Marketing to join our team.  You should be comfortable with leading teams as well as working alongside them to drive consumer marketing strategy and execution (In-store, Digital, Social/Influencer, Partnerships, DTC, PR, Shopper Marketing). 
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
You will serve as the marketing lead on store level marketing strategies across all brands within the TUC umbrella. Working closely with brand management, R&D, and sales, you will be responsible for aligning the overall consumer and product marketing strategy with impactful and integrated demand plans.  As a commercially astute marketing leader, you will also collaborate with cross-functional teammates and company leadership to support TUCs long-term marketplace success.
From day one, you will oversee the marketing planning process, from insight mining to execution to measurable results.  Managing the consumer marketing workflow (Digital, Social/Influencer, Brand Partnerships, PR, DTC, Shopper & Consumer Relations), and ensuring that marketing deliverables into the innovation process are provided with excellence will be core responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be willing to roll-up their sleeves to do what it takes to support the business; this will include weekends and evenings at times. The role is remote with a commitment to travel up to 30%.

Consumer Marketing Strategy

  • Lead development of integrated marketing plan to build/maintain consumer loyalty and support business goals, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Identify how TUC can improve efficacy of programs, reach new shoppers, and be more accessible by keeping pace with shopper habits, insights, and best practices.
  • Develop plans that are fiscally responsible, impactful, and can be done with limited resources while fully utilizing the resources available.
  • Consumer Marketing Execution
  • Ensure team execution across brand, food service, and private label initiatives.
  • Lead development of written briefs for use by consultants and creative resources, clearly articulating project and success criteria in service of brand strategies and objectives.
  • Align stakeholders and leadership on key projects while managing appropriate expectations.
  • Identify and track KPIs that measure success and track improvement of TUCs consumer marketing programs, providing regular reporting and making optimizations to marketing mix.
  • Optimize budget spend and performance.
  • Actively monitor consumer, customer, and competitor food and lifestyle trends and help translate them into innovation pipeline concepts.
  • Support innovation success through the development of appropriate launch plans and selling materials.
  • Coach direct reports to ensure excellence, timeliness, and continuous skill development.
  • Leadership, Team Engagement & People Management

  • You will have hands-on involvement with activities in support of brand plans/execution; leading or participating in key initiatives (e.g., Grower Services, Customer meetings).
  • You will help to develop career paths, ensure role clarity, and support development of direct reports.

  • KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Prior leadership experience required, including regular interaction with company leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Seasoned & agile marketing leader who demonstrates curiosity, makes decisions and recommendations, tracks external trends, “rolls-up-their sleeves”, and understands the upstream and downstream impact of their work.
  • Highly organized and proactive self-starter with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and take complete ownership of projects.
  • Experience developing brand plans across multiple consumer touchpoints, innovation, and consumer/shopper/category research and insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to lead cross-functionally and build relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with ownership, pragmatism, creativity, and strategic vision.
  • Excellent communicator. Able to read an audience and adapt communications.
