We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role will be responsible for defining and driving human resources initiatives and strategies for our growing manufacturing plant.
Here are the things we want to hire you to do:
Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors
Must be able to build rapport and establish trust and credibility with all employees and leaders
Actively participate as part of the extended HR team in promoting, communicating, and facilitating an energetic and inclusive company culture through current and future sitewide/company initiatives and engagement activities
Respond to questions related to HR policy, which includes but is not limited to the employee handbook, payroll, timekeeping, and benefits
Maintain credibility, privacy, professionalism, and accountability in all HR duties and records
Conduct workplace investigations and makes determinations in conjunction with the HR Manager
Performs as the site’s point of contact for company benefits and open enrollment
Direct the recruitment process at the site by: posting jobs, prescreening candidates, documenting feedback in the applicant tracking system, scheduling interviews, onboarding new hires (both exempt and non-exempt)
Manage and facilitate the completion of HR and Site-wide training
Support site audits from a human resource perspective
Manage the development and maintenance of a sitewide training matrix for employees
Ensure data integrity of all HR information
Ability to utilize data and make informed business decisions
Act as a backup for HR Manager
Keep a pulse on employee morale while escalating employee issues as needed to the site HR Manager
Managing site organizational charts for accuracy
Proactively communicate HR-related matters to the site in support of the HR Manager
Maintain employee schedules into Timestar (timekeeping system) and audit the system daily, providing finalized bi-weekly punches to Corporate for payroll processing
Manage vendor relationships and other site vendor needs as assigned
Stay connected with your HR Manager and fellow colleagues
Other duties as assigned
Here are the Things we think you need:
3 – 5 years of Human Resources experience
Associate or Bachelor’s degree required
Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws
Demonstrated capability to maintain composure, customer service, and professionalism in stressful, difficult, or evolving situations
Experience with delivering exceptional customer service as a brand ambassador, both internally and externally
Willingness to pitch in on projects in conjunction with the People and Transformation team
Ability to multitask and problem solve in an ever-changing, dynamic environment where no day is like the previous
Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong business relationships within a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
