We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team working 12 hours shifts, 7pm- 7am, 1 week 3 days, 2 week 4 days. This role will be responsible for performing maintenance for a food manufacturing operation. This person is responsible to aid or take sole responsibility of machine troubleshooting and repairing problems and will report directly to the Site Manager. 

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Manage relationships with maintenance/technical contractors and other service providers
  • Carry out necessary logistics work, including receive of goods, preparation of goods for upcoming production orders and loading of bulk product for shipment to co-packers
  • Ensure that Food Safety, GMP’s and safety policies are complied with
  • Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting for the repair and maintenance of production equipment
  • Install, startup and shutdown equipment in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Here are the things we think you need:

  • Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes
  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required
  • Must have 5+ years of experience working as a maintenance technician
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical components such as (but not limited to) FD’s motor starters, temperature sensors, etc
  • Willingness to participate in a team environment
  • Experience on Quality testing
  • Project management competence
  • Industrial electrical up to 480 VAC (Voltage Amperage)
  • Knowledge of LEAN/Six sigma
  • Controls & instrumentations (Allen Bradley)
  • PLC (Product Lifecycle) software & hardware experience
  • Pneumatics & Hydraulic experience
  • BRC/HACCP, Environment, Sustainability
  • Social competence and ability to establish sound relationships with others
  • Must have a continuous improvement mindset and have the capability to adapt to change easily
  • Familiar with boilers, air compressors, ammonia and chiller systems, HVAC
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
  • Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 40F-90F degrees)
  • Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite to another this could include but not be limited to in-plant departments, (Shipping- Receiving, Production, etc.) and/or to Oatly’s 3rd party warehouse
  • Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)
