The Information Security team is seeking a Manager, Data Protection to integrate tools and analyze the security of Indigo data, systems, and applications. In this role you will enjoy leading the discovery and remediation of security issues, collaboration with Engineering, Product, Data, IT and DevOps teams, and the assessment of designs against relevant security threats. This position will provide you with a challenging opportunity to learn and grow. 


  • Provide technical leadership in the assessment, design, and implementation of data protection and insider threat program
  • Design, implement, technical and business requirements for data protection solutions and insider threat management program
  • Develop data protection strategies, architectures, and implementation plans.
  • Implement holistic DLP capabilities leveraging multiple technologies across endpoints, web traffic, and email
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on the planning, implementation, and rollout of DLP programs and insider threat management solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents that involve theft or loss of consumer data, employee data, business sensitive data, and/or intellectual property
  • Create and maintain technical policies, standards and related documentations
  • Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues
  • Devise training plans and provide data protection advice and support for members of staff
  • Create monthly DLP metrics and coordinate structured implementation of Data Loss Prevention indicators.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for Audit, Compliance and Regulator inquiries.
  • Responsibilities
  • Administration of the DLP tools which includes configuring policies, upgrading, and patching, etc.
  • Maintaining DLP technology, configuring policies, and compiling reports for analytics.
  • Monitoring and responding to alerts generated from DLP systems and other technologies.
  • Working with the Incident Response team to escalate and respond to potential or real threats.
  • Serving as a DLP subject matter expert within the organization.
  • Collaborating on the DLP rule development lifecycle including policy development, response rules, and maintenance.
  • Provide expert advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements
  • Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Generate metrics and create new metric measurement criteria’s
  • Hold training with staff members across different business units who are involved in data handling or processing
  • Proactively conduct audits to ensure compliance and address potential issues
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years data loss prevention in mid-sized to large organizations, with emphasis on security operations, incident management, security event analysis and risk assessment.
  • Deep understanding of Data Loss Prevention detection patterns and capabilities.
  • Experience in evaluating and tuning Data Loss Prevention detection patterns.
  • Experience implementing new Data Loss Prevention detection patterns and deploying across large organizations in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Solid experience in supporting and improving Cybersecurity and/or technology controls to support the business.
