50by40 is a coalition of organisations dedicated to cutting the global production and consumption of animal products by 50% by 2040. Join our global team offering regional and international expertise on food systems, climate policy, and global and multi-sector engagement. We collaborate with partners and support their efforts in a broad swathe of sectors, from vastly different backgrounds, yet wholly dedicated in their missions to improve the ways food is produced and consumed.

Role summary

We are seeking a Campaigns Coordinator to work in conjunction with the Programmes team at 50by40. We are looking for a driven, outgoing, and results-focused individual, preferable with previous campaigning/ movement-building experience. In particular, the Campaigns Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Programmes to lead programmatic work, particularly under the Global Majority Programme, work on developing and onboarding new partners to the network and running pilots for different projects to be undertaken. We’re looking for a skilled generalist and a quick learner who can strategise as well as work well in adaptable environments. Candidates from South Asia are preferred for this unique role. 

Key Responsibilities:

Programmatic work:

  1. In conjunction with the Head of Programmes, ensure the strategy development and implementation of different programmes under 50by40- gleaning on areas of focus, and initiating pilot projects.
  2. Research and find global and regional organisations working in the food systems space to explore potential partnerships, collaborations and avenues for increased resources and funding. 
  3. Create first drafts of all communications to go out for programmatic work such as emails, press releases, social media, etc.
  4. Create, fundraise and execute the pilot of the different projects under the programme.
  5. Plan and organise events such as conferences and dialogues at the regional, national, and international levels.

Partnership work:

  1. Develop and maintain all procedures pertaining to partner onboarding.
  2. Support the Head of Programmes in ideating and developing a new tiered partnership system for new partner onboarding.
  3. Develop, and strengthen ties and collaboration with new and existing partners, connecting them to opportunities within the 50by40 network.
  4. Organise the Strategic Partner, and Partner Advisory Board Calls in collaboration with the Head of Programmes.
  5. In collaboration with partner co-chairs, lead all 4 Working Group calls towards collaborative opportunities in alignment with 50by40’s Strategic Framework.



  1. 2-4 years of experience in project coordination and movement building 
  2. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with some experience in group facilitation 
  3. Strong sense of teamwork and keen attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Have high ethical standards and commitment to 50by40’s core values
  5. Experience in working with people from different backgrounds, with a strong commitment to equal opportunities
  6. An orientation to plan and execute, with an ability to juggle multiple priorities 
  7. Self-starter with a drive to continuously improve


  1. Experience working remotely with diverse, dispersed teams.
  2. General knowledge of the systems of animal agriculture and its impact.
  3. General experience with MS Office and Google Suite.
