As a Cell Culture Process Development Engineer/Scientist, you will develop the basis for a robust, efficient, large-scale cell culture platform. You will work alongside multiple teams in R&D to develop experimental designs and establish the bioprocess design and variable space. This role will also be expected to scale up our process to large scale bioreactors, so that we can meet our production targets.

DoE process development/optimization to facilitate robust cell expansion
Media batching, inoculation, culture, and harvest of bioreactors
Design, development, and operation of fed-batch and perfusion processes
Operation and maintenance of process monitoring/analysis equipment like biochemical analyzers
Author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Batch Production Records (BPRs), and other quality/R&D documentation as needed
Experimental design and analysis of experimental data. This role will be expected to present experimental summaries, conclusions, and next stage experiments to senior leadership and team members.
B.S. in Biological or Chemical Science/Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience. Advanced degree and industry experience is preferred.
Experience with serum-free media development and optimization
Experience with batch and fed-batch cell culture
Tech transfer experience is preferred
Proficiency with metabolic flux analysis is a plus
Experience with scale-down model development, predictive modeling, and model validation is a plus
Experience with development of an intensified and/or continuous process is a plus
