The Role: 
Responsible for driving the PopSockets brand marketing strategy into retail marketing and maximizing communication channels to ensure strong brand & product marketing is delivered to customers through our wholesale/trade channel, including online marketplaces.  This person will report to the Senior VP of Design and will partner closely with our Sales teams to execute upon retail marketing needs. 

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze shopper insights to understand purchase behavior on retail and marketplaces
  • Gather and analyze key levers to maximize retail sales: most effective use of displays; formats to capture shopper’s attention and facilitate the shopping experience; define optimal distribution points to balance sales with inventory risk; establish benchmarks between retailers. 
  • Develop retail marketing strategies for our top 10 customers within our priority channels (mass retail, wireless, technology, gifting, home & office, marketplaces such as Amazon and Faire and retail.com sites such as Walmart.com and Target.com).
  • Define messaging and establish our executional picture of success through persuasive merchandising displays, appropriate assortment, and competitive messaging.
  • Define the calendar of execution for retail based on the overall Company calendar of activities.
  • Own the briefing process for retail marketing asset development throughout the year.
  • Work cooperatively with all stakeholders to identify opportunities and execute plans for brand exposure, retail associate training, and brand development with our key retail partners.
  • Ensure brand communication for areas of responsibility that are consistent with the company and brand positioning which include promoting uniformity and consistency of brand.
  • Develop the creative, coordinate merchandising execution and attend trade shows & events as assigned.
  • Coordination and support with global and account specific POP needs (brief through delivery), support with the creation of seasonal catalogs, management of exclusive product offerings, fixtures & displays, etc.
  • Sales sample management.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing record of promotions and discounts to ensure channel harmony during price reductions and track ROI.
  • Requirements:

  • BS or BA in Communication, Marketing or related field.
  • 5 – 7 years experience working in brand marketing for a consumer goods company.  
  • Capacity to prioritize and juggle projects simultaneously in an extremely fast paced working environment with a willingness to learn
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to relate to and work with a variety of stakeholders across teams as well as work effectively independently
  • Experience managing outside agencies and vendors and creating/tracking invoices and payments
  • Pay range: $125,000 to $135,000 plus bonus potential
