As the Senior Product Manager, Data Validation, you will have the opportunity to work at a critical juncture in this rapidly expanding industry. This squad is charged with maintaining as high-quality data as possible with as little grower burden as possible. In this role, you will advance the revamp and expansion of data validation and completion services from Carbon Credits to other Sustainability programs at Indigo. That includes everything from market research, to getting into the nitty gritty with your agile squad, to collaborating with your product, marketing, operations, sustainability, and policy peers across other areas to assess which features and functionality make the most sense in the data validation process.
Responsibilities:
Advance the development of Data Validation Service 2.0 for Indigo’s Sustainability Programs
Work with a cross-functional squad to identify critical program requirements of new quantification approaches and translate them into the Product
Develop documentation that outlines Indigo’s processes for validation and provenance to support highest-quality outcomes and support 3rd-party verification
Collaborate with multiple teams across the Indigo organization to:
Shape the short and long-term vision for your product
Assume primary product ownership responsibilities (roadmap, user stories, prioritization, stakeholder buy-in)
Define business impact of delivering on that vision
Participate in agile software product management and development best practices; advocate for best practices across the organization
Ensure that the voice of the customer is a key component in prioritizing and defining your work
Establish clear and concise communications channels with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e., Business, Engineering, Marketing, Policy) to provide visibility into the plans for your product
Establish trust and ongoing communication with internal & external customers and facilitate feedback on key decisions
Clearly articulate product value and your plans for increasing that value to senior management and across the organization
Partner with customer-facing teams and marketing organizations to ensure continued adoption within key user segments
Competencies:
Comfort working in a data-intensive environment and an environment constrained by policies/regulations
Ability to balance customer-centricity, stakeholder expectations, and technical feasibility for software product line while clearly articulating tradeoffs
Ability to define, gain buy-in from stakeholders, and further product vision for a specific software product or product line
Ability to take complex problems and solutions and break them down to deliver incremental value
Highly aligned and deep understanding of company strategy, mapping strategy to execution
Process orientation with strong time-management skills and demonstrated ability to change course, as needed
Knowledgeable and well-informed decision-making
Ability to effectively work as a member of a team, with great listening and oral and written communication skills
Able to structure and process qualitative and quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions
Proactively brings new ideas to the table, spanning people, process and product
Qualifications:
7-10 years Product Management Experience with sizable technical/engineering/scientific squads
Full-stack product experience preferred
Proven track record of building and scaling digital products focused on data collection, data validation, and/or data quality assurance
Bonus if first-to-market and/or industry disruptor
Bonus if previous experience in ag or in a science-based product role
Experience in sustainability or policy-compliant industries
Track record of strong communication skills (communicating out and listening successfully)
