Iron Ox is reimagining the modern farm, utilizing robotics and AI to grow fresh, consistent, and responsibly farmed produce for everyone. Our experienced team of growers, plant scientists, engineers, and innovators are passionate about deeply understanding and developing this new wave of technology to feed an ever-growing population.
Our mission at Iron Ox is dedicated to addressing some of the most significant issues in food security, now and in the future. We’re focused on sustainable, scalable food production for a changing climate and an ever-growing population.
As a Senior Robotics Manipulation Engineer, you will work on a variety of automation projects for our greenhouses involving both industrial robotics and manipulation research. As part of the team, you will work closely with other roboticists, engineers, plant scientists, and growers to implement production-ready robotic systems. Applications include moving plants between grow modules, detecting and harvesting ripe fruit (such as berries, tomatoes, and bell peppers), and trimming and harvesting leafy greens for packaging.
We are looking for experienced roboticists who can work with Hardware/Software teams to write robotics software that moves projects towards robust production. Depending on your background, this could include writing standard industrial robotics code on a teach pendant, using ROS to ingest sensor data and perform complex manipulation tasks, analyzing sensor data to produce semantic understanding for manipulation problems, and operating at a systems level to integrate across hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will have a broad background in manipulation as well as a deeper understanding of one or more sub-areas.
