Shift Supervisor – Nights 27 views

Ogden, UT

We are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to join our team. This role will be responsible to assist the Plant Manager in the general plant operation and maintenance to achieve the assigned production objectives.
This position runs on 12 hour rotating shifts, 7:00pm – 7:00am
Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday (Off Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday)
Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday (Off Monday/Thursday/Friday)

Here are the things we want to hire you to do:

  • Execute plant-specific vision and mission to assure continuous improvement and alignment with the global vision
  • Direct and oversee production and their roles and responsibilities throughout the shift
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and development to maximize manufacturing, quality, safety, and productivity goal attainment
  • Effectively communicate results and action plans to shift employees
  • Ability to fill role of Plant Manager when absent
  • Collaborate directly with departments to optimize schedule accomplishment
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved
  • Develop, participate, and lead process improvement projects (LEAN/Six Sigma)
  • Develop and execute plans on a weekly and monthly basis to achieve cost efficient and accurate processes
  • Identify, align, and provide input to best in class operational practices
  • Utilize technical skills and relevant experience to identify/solve problems and recommends/implements operating efficiencies
  •  Align and implement common reliability processes and ensure the reliability culture is foundational to operations
  • Ensure all plant operations and business is conducted in a safe and controlled environment
  • Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Here are the things we think you need:

  • Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes
  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required
  • 2 or 4 year degree and/or equivalent combination(s) of education, industry experience and training
  • 2 + years manufacturing supervision experience
  • Background in high volume manufacturing, preferably within the food and beverage field
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
  • Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees)
  • Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite (up to 1-mile range) to another this could include but not be limited to in-plant departments, (Shipping- Receiving, Production, etc.) and/or to Oatly’s 3rd party warehouse
  • Ability to walk for extended periods of time (8-12 Hours); ability to bend and to lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs) 
  • Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)
