The Role:
Reports to Senior Director of Sales. The Specialty Sales Manager will lead the planning, development, execution, and ongoing optimization of focused programs designed to help achieve revenue targets for the critical specialty channel. This role will build knowledge of PopSockets’ presence within the domestic independent retail environment to develop scalable, innovative programs that are relevant to customer and prospect needs. Role will manage all aspects of the channel, including external rep agency relationships, PopSockets’ wholesale marketplace presence (Faire.com, Nuorder.com, etc.), and channel-relevant customer engagement campaigns.
Success will be based on your ability to understand the critical customer needs, develop and deploy creative selling solutions to drive volume and profitability, and analyze customer and consumer trends. This role requires a strong influencer who communicates clearly and effectively. Must possess a customer-first mindset with a drive to win.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new areas of opportunity to grow revenue and expand product and channel reach within the US retail market.
  • Manage independent sales representatives.
  • Oversee sales activities for a portfolio of existing customers (primarily brick-and-mortar retailers) to provide best-in-class customer service and respond to any critical customer needs.
  • Design marketing programs that generate qualified leads, progress deals to close, and strengthen long-term relationships with independent retailers.
  • Develop and manage the company’s showroom strategy in conjunction with rep partners and execute various tradeshows annually.
  • Work closely with sales leadership to support all sales initiatives related to revenue generation, customer service, inventory management, forecasting, brand awareness, training, and channel expansion.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with external rep agencies to collaborate on future growth opportunities.
  • Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant sales or account management experience, ideally within a CPG category.
  • Background managing external rep and/or broker relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with order maintenance (ERP, CRM, etc.).
  • Highly versed in the Microsoft Office Suite with specific emphasis in Excel. Comfortable with G-Suite platforms.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 30%.

  • Pay range: $70,000 to $85,000 plus bonus!
