Sr. Manager, Performance & Talent Management 78 views

As the Sr. Manager, Performance & Talent Management, you will be a critical member of the HR leadership team and help build our culture of coaching and development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement processes and programs that will bring our values and culture to life for our employees and managers.

This role will primarily support our employees reporting to Headquarters in the Bay Area, however there will be an opportunity to support, build and influence our growth and respective people programs for our growing international presence in Asia and Europe.

What you’ll do 

  • Lead and direct the development of an effective and successful employee relations practice, process and team for Eat Just;

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters; field and respond to complaints and lead internal investigations, where necessary, into allegations of harassment, discrimination, and other conduct violations;

  • Provide timely reporting of all required information; develop proactive strategies to prevent issues;

  • Partner with the People team and managers to foster a reality-based, high performance and high accountability culture;

  • Develop and implement a transparent framework for career path and career development;

  • Develop and implement a transparent framework for performance management;

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and managers and provide coaching to strengthen individual and team effectiveness and health;

  • Serve as an employee advocate and design thoughtful and empowering processes and programs for employee and manager development;

  • Work closely with the employer brand team to articulate and activate Eat Just’s culture in all our people processes and programs;

  • Facilitate the design and rollout of a robust development roadmap for Eat Just’s managers and employees including courseware, practice sessions and coaching;

  • Develop and deliver training/ communications for the people management population to support the entire employee lifecycle.

What you’ll bring 

  • 8+ years of People programs, People partner or equivalent business experience, with at least 2 years of experience leading employee or manager development projects within a high-growth environment at progressive companies;

  • Experience directly managing a team is highly preferred;

  • Substantial experience coaching and advising employees, managers and senior leaders on people and organizational issues;

  • You possess humility, no task is above or below you (a key trait of our culture); you are proud to be of service to a just cause of building a safer, healthier and more sustainable food system;

  • You understand that the key to delivering results is the ability to make people feel safe and cared for and creating an environment where they can bring their best selves forward;

  • You dare to take on ambitious goals, align on mutual accountability across teams, and make things happen;

  • Ability to inspire trust quickly and demonstrate good judgment and discretion in highly sensitive situations;

  • Experience leading investigations and partnering with employment legal teams to advise business leaders and employees on the best course of action;

  • Demonstrable ability to develop and articulate a clear point of view to facilitate open discussions with stakeholders and drive decisions to resolve interpersonal and team issues ;

  • Ability to think critically and anticipate issues before they arise, and proactively suggest long-term solutions;

  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of the challenges of supporting a growing team of diverse personalities and professional backgrounds;

  • Experience with using formal assessments and executive coaching a plus!

Additional Information & Requirements 

This is a full-time regular position based out of our Headquarters in Alameda, CA. This role is hybrid for the time being with an expectation to be onsite, building relationships with our employees Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with flexibility to be remote on Mondays and Fridays.
