AeroFarms is looking for Interns to join our Sales and Marketing Team for Summer 2022!

Are you a foodie? Do you enjoy getting others excited about what goes on their plates? Then this internship is for you! AeroFarms is hiring for Sales and Marketing interns who will lead brand awareness and generate excitement onsite with our retailers and attend special sales events. We have retailers in NJ, NYC, the New England/Boston area, and we are breaking into the Mid-Atlantic region this summer! Interns in these locations are encouraged to apply.

Intern Work Schedule & Location: 

AeroFarms is located in Newark NJ, we are committed to supporting our local community and as such we give a strong preference to interns who can attend a hybrid work schedule of in person and at home work. As we grow into a global company and with new farm sites scheduled for construction around the world, we hope that we can have interns from so many different places. However, for now, being a commutable distance will provide the best experience for you as an intern with us. 

Work wise, you will be contributing to the real work of the company (no making coffee or photocopying we promise) as a junior member of the team. Your work hours will be 9-5, Monday-Thursday, with Friday being a half day allowing you a chance to reflect and connect with other interns and other AeroFarms Staff. 


We strongly encourage vaccination, we are nearly all vaccinated here at AeroFarms. We believe it is a great way to ensure your safety along with ours. We still follow all CDC, state and federal guidelines etc.

Job Description

The position will assist the Sales & Marketing team’s efforts in company branding and account development. The Field Sales & Marketing Intern will experience significant exposure to various aspects of the company’s business and to senior management through projects and assignments.

Main Activities:

  • Conduct with multiple instore product demonstrations a week.
  • Generate excitement and brand awareness at various events in the New Jersey, NYC, New England, and Mid-Atlantic regions.
  • Conduct market and trend research related to Food Industry, Perishable Greens, Leafy Greens, Indoor Agriculture, Sustainable Farms and Connection with Food.
  • Assist with new product development and identifying new and innovative ways to use our leafy greens.
  • Participate in sales and merchandising, monitoring, and trend reporting.
  • Be involved in all aspects of the marketing and sales team.


  • Currently in school pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and valid license to interact with consumers at our retail locations
  • Prior food industry experience a plus.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, weekends, evenings.
  • Passionate about AeroFarms’ mission
