As the SVP of Operations you will be a key member of the Eat Just leadership team responsible for the strategic leadership, development and organizational structure of the company’s integrated global supply chain. You will be the key Operations link providing oversite and synchronization between the organizations Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Procurement Teams. You will lead the development and implementation of business focused supply chain initiatives through the organization as well as identify global operating solutions that create sustainable competitive advantages in safety, cost, quality and service.

This is an exciting role, defining and leading the Operations function in a high growth environment. The right leader will have excellent quantitative and oral skills and have the credibility and emotional intelligence to navigate a diverse work environment and business while building a strong performance-oriented culture. You will be tasked with building a world-class team capable of growing and scaling while maintaining efficiency and exceptional quality.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop, define, and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on all operational systems
  • Build, develop, and lead a highly motivated, world-class team to achieve operation goals
  • Set comprehensive goals for operational growth and success; ensure that departmental decisions and project plans are in line with the organizations business plan and vision
  • Utilize KPIs to monitor and optimize performance
  • Design, plan and implement operational strategies, plans and procedures
  • Oversee daily activities of the Operations team for US and global factories
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement; utilize Lean Manufacturing tactics to identify, scope and implement processes and systems for continuous improvement
  • Develop collaborative relationships with all department leaders to support effective and efficient cross-functional work, information flow and problem solving
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets
  • Identify, communicate, and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects
  • Ensure safe operations and safety policies across all sites; ensure that processes and facilities meet all Environmental Health & Safety codes, regulations, and company policies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization and seek a full range of business solutions with vendors and supplier partners

What you’ll bring

  • A Bachelors degree in Engineering is required; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 20 years of food manufacturing experience including 3 years in upper management required;¬†proven ability as a productive and collaborative executive team member
  • Strong people leadership, a global mindset and strategic thinking with a strong sense of time organization and urgency
  • Leadership experience in food production, warehousing and logistics required
  • Strong track record in building and leading a supply chain team performing capital planning
  • Demonstrable experience effectively leading and managing a team of senior operations professionals
  • Proficiency in financial and cost management; proven track record of driving financial and operational results through process and cost improvements
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing initiatives in manufacturing environments
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Additional Information & Requirements

This is a full-time regular position based out of our Headquarters in Alameda, CA.

This role will require travel without restriction up to 20% both domestically and internationally. Candidates must possess a passport or willingness to obtain one.
