About Indigo

We’re an international startup aspiring to revolutionize a budding industry where agriculture meets technology. Through the use of data-driven insights, natural microbiology, and innovative digital technologies, Indigo is partnering across the supply chain, ultimately cultivating a scalable climate solution and enhanced ecosystem that beneficially serves farmers, consumers, and the planet alike.

Our mission is unique, and therefore our teams are too: from multigenerational farming experts, who understand the land as though it were an extension of themselves, to cutting-edge technologists and scientists on the frontier of innovation, our teams are a reflection of the range of the stakeholders we serve: the Earth, the Farmer, and the Consumer. Indigo is extraordinary, and we owe that to the people who make up our community and enable success through the diversity of thought, experience, background, perspective, race, sexuality, gender, age, and everything else that makes a person uniquely themselves. Connected by a common vision and empowered by diversity, we aren’t ordinary, and neither are you. Embrace your career and join Indigo in cultivating a healthier planet fueled by unique game-changers.

User Research Internship Program

Our 12-week 2022 summer [graduate] internship program from May 31, 2022 to August 19, 2022 has a focus on providing User Research experience and mentorship opportunities to students, including from groups historically underrepresented in tech. You will be an integral part of our team and its mission to foster understanding of our users: farmers, grain merchants, and others in the ag industry. You will also contribute user insights by working on user research studies.

Our unique internship offers the chance to apply your skills and knowledge to have a huge impact, while gaining real world experience.

About the User Research Team

The Indigo User Research team conducts and supports user research across Indigo, with a primary focus on our digital platforms. We are a small but resourceful team, conducting impactful research with farmers, grain buyers, and others. We find humans fascinating, and we want to share the joy of learning from our users with the rest of the company – both the fruits of our research, and the skills that allow everyone at Indigo to learn from users as well and to share that knowledge. We support a 30-person design team that creates products that support farmers and their communities, to help farmers feed the world more sustainably and more profitably. Our users are farmers, grain buyers (originators and merchandisers), agronomists, and consumer brands that seek sustainably grown grains and oilseeds.

We are building a vision of User Research at Indigo where everyone longs for–and contributes to–a deeper understanding of our users and seeks to strengthen our relationships with those users through the decisions we make, based on that deep, respectful understanding of them.
